Alrov luxury hotels is planning to invest NIS 1.6 billion in the construction of hotels overseas including the Conservatory Hotel in Amsterdam and the opening of a hotel in London in 2011 ahead of the Olympic Games in the Café Royal on Regent Street.

Alrov luxury hotels, the newly established subsidiary of the Alrov Group, on Wednesday opened the first of a series of luxurious lifestyle hotels the Mamilla Hotel in Jerusalem at a total investment of NIS 300 million.

Located in a remarkable position in the city centre with breath-taking views of the Old City walls, the Tower of David and Jaffa Gate, the Mamilla is a contemporary, world-class hotel that combines a distinctly international outlook with the unique cultural heritage of Jerusalem.

The Mamilla Hotel, designed by Italian interior decorator Piero Lissoni and architect Moshe Safdie, has 194 rooms and suites including Residence Suites featuring oversized bedroom and living spaces and the Presidential Suite with bedroom, living room, dinning/study area and kitchen. Key to the hotel's vision is to create restaurant and bar areas that will not just appeal to hotel guests but will become destinations in their own right for local Jerusalemites and other visitors.

Over the next few years, Alrov luxury hotels is planning to invest NIS 1.6 billion in the construction of hotels overseas including the Conservatory Hotel in Amsterdam and the opening of a hotel in London in 2011 ahead of the Olympic Games in the Café Royal on Regent Street. Other possible locations for the construction of the series of the five-star luxury hotels include New York, Milan, Paris, Madrid and Tel Aviv.
